I agree with your hunch. The music world is far smaller than we think it is. I can’t confirm without doing some research.
An example off the top of my head is Hillary Scott (from Lady A) who has both released here own solo CCM/Gospel music as well as featured in many Christian songs. Gary Levox from Rascall Flatts has done similarly.
On the production side, it’s harder to figure things out. I know Corey Crowder (worked with Florida Georgia Line near the end of their run) has done some work with Chris Tomlin. I may take a look around and see what I can pull up.
